It’s always a pleasure to speak with the dynamic and knowledgeable Jackie London, and I’m excited share her insight with you in this episode. Jackie and I met in grad school at NYU; she’s a Registered Dietitian and New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist, Good Housekeeping’s nutrition director, and the author of Dressing on the Side (and Other Diet Myths Debunked): 11 Science-Based Ways to Eat More, Stress Less, and Feel Great About Your Body,” (Grand Central Publishing)

In this week’s segment we talk about:

  •    The concept of "wellness” and how the social media heavy world propagates the idea that you have to be someone you’re not in order to be truly living a life of “wellness.”
  •    Wellness and self-care should revolve around things which make you feel rejuvenated
  •    The importance of sustainability in all aspects of wellness; if you can’t do it for life, it may not be for you.
  •    The importance of focusing on our experiences with food rather than on what we should be eating in order to comply with a particular diet.
  •    Healthy living is about focusing on priorities, knowing full well that they can change because like us, they are not stagnant.

There’s so much to unpack from my conversation with Jackie and I hope you enjoy listening to her extensive insight. You can connect with her via her book’s website, Instagram and Twitter.
