As a career changer, I sincerely love speaking with other career changers and learning from their experience. Because of this, I’m especially excited to speak with Daisy Mack, a breath work and stress management expert, certified integrative nutrition health coach and yoga teacher.
Daisy helps people struggling with chronic stress build a personalized self-care protocol that supports and lifts them above their challenges. Prior to moving into wellness, Daisy spent 15 years working in the music industry, first as an agent and then as a North American VP for an entertainment conglomerate. Daisy is the founder of Spiritual Mixtape, where she works with individuals dealing with chronic stress to build a personalized self-care protocol.
There are so many great takeaways from my conversation with Daisy, but here are some of my favorites:
Sometimes career changes can bring about some of the best and most
significant life changes. So, as you explore the possibilities,
find what feels right and think about where you want to show up
every day;
There’s familiarity in trauma and sometimes it’s easy to stay in
the patterns we create as we process grief, but it’s important to
look beyond and allow healing to take place;
Your self-care and wellness practices are specific to you and are
meant to feel exactly the way you want them to feel;
In case you’ve questioned your identity and place in the world, remember that you’re not your job, your career is not your identity and that professional reinvention is a thing.
