I’m so happy Naomi Joseph has joined us for this latest podcast chat! Naomi is truly remarkable; she is a Speech and Language Pathologist, the author of Binge and Sprint: From Endless Cake to Recovery, and the National Vice President with Arbonne. Perhaps most notable, Naomi is a recovered binge eater who now dedicates her life to helping others find their best, healthiest lives.

There are so many valuable takeaways from my conversation with Naomi, but here are some of my favorites:

  • Binge eating -- just like any other eating disorder -- is incredibly isolating; because of this, we need to make space for honest and open conversations where healing can begin;
  • Our lifetime experiences -- especially those from our childhood -- inform the rest of our lives, and can help us move through and into recovery;
  • Speaking of recovery, when you decide to focus on self-development and moving forward, you’ll find ways to bring healthy living into your life;
  • The road to recovery from an eating disorder is one where you make peace with food and learn to trust yourself and your instincts, and listen to your body;
  • You can create a life where you don’t rely on food for anything other than nourishing your body and soul;
  • Healthy living means knowing that you’re worthy of all good things, including self-care.
