I am so happy to be able to share today’s podcast with you; it’s my hope that you’ll find the information shared in it to be helpful, especially as we continue navigating these stressful times. I’m chatting with return guest Mary Beth Del Balzo — who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, psychotherapist and hypnotherapist (and my mom!) — about what it’s like to be a mental health professional during the COVID-19 pandemic.

There are so many great nuggets of information in this podcast, but here are some my favorites:

  •     During a time in which in-person connections are not possible, telehealth can be a wonderful way to remain in touch with your mental health professional.
  •     If you feel overwhelmed by feelings of anxiety and worry, hypnotherapy can be an incredibly helpful tool in calming the mind and body.
  •     If feelings of despondency are becoming prominent in your life, firstly know you’re not alone. Secondly, make sure to do things which bring you happiness, like connecting with your circle of people, creating art, listening to or playing music, drinking plenty of water, and meditating.
  •     Meditation can be an essential self-care tool and can help clear your mind of negative or worried thoughts.
