If you’re a wellness practitioner who dreams of sharing your expertise in articles for major outlets or in a book of your own, you will want to tune into this podcast episode! I’m chatting with K. Aleisha Fetters, a widely-published author (Give Yourself MORE and Fitness Hacks for Over 50 are the two books she wrote in 2020!) and certified strength and conditioning specialist about how to identify and reach your ideal readers so that you can translate your passion for wellness into writing.

There are so many important insights K. Aleisha shared during our chat, but here are some of my favorites:

  • Life is about relationships and connections, so make the most of them personally and professionally.
  • When pitching your article idea to an editor, demonstrate your familiarity with the publication’s readers and writing style, and keep your pitch direct and brief.
  • When writing a book, make sure you’re passionate about your topic (you’ll be spending a lot of time thinking and writing about it!) and set yourself up for success by scheduling time blocks of 4-5 hours where your writing has your undivided attention.
  • Healthy living means making conscious choices to take care of yourself physically, emotionally and mentally.
